JACK TOLAN

A dog so big with such a heart,
Should never, ever, have to part.
His courageous spirit made me whole,
His destiny I could not control.

I always tried to do my best,
But instead my partner is at rest.
Oh big dog I love you so,
I could never really let you go.

You touched my heart in such a way,
Without you I struggle to get through each day.
I really hope I did you “right”,
What else could I do?  Keeps me up each night.

“What a dog” is all I can say,
And I know he doesn’t want me to feel this way.
But oh big dog I love you so,
I could never really let you go.

When you love a Dane it can’t be helped,
A prize was born when you were whelped.

As a puppy you brought hope so bright,
But now I sleep alone each night.

I see you everywhere I go,
Somehow I’m sure you already know.
It’s hard big guy and what can I do?
When all I really want is “you”.

I hope you will be at the Bridge,
When I come and stand atop the ridge.
Looking for my soul mate so true,
I will be there….it’s the first thing I’ll do.

I never, ever let you down,
But I hoped and prayed you’d stick around.
Through thick & thin we were a pair,
Without you I’ve never felt such despair.

I know you want me to “be alright”,
But without you I can’t get through day or night.
Danes are beautiful dogs it’s true,
But your beauty was truly through & through

“Who you were” is what I will miss,
As I try each day to get through this.
Cruel, unfair and torrid it’s true,
And now all can do is pray for you.

Pray you will be waiting at the “Bridge”,
And soon I’ll be standing atop the ridge.
My beautiful soul I love you so,
I could never really let you go.

You trusted me as well you should,
In return I did “everything” I possibly could!!!

To my “Beautiful Dog”, & he was 1,000 times more beautiful inside!
WOW Giant Jack Black, this world will never, ever, be the same!!!!
