This is
Kymm Cowley when she was just a little girl, 7 years old, with her
great dane Glorilane's Billy Donick, aka Nick. Actually
Kymm's parents, Keith and Mary Ann Cowley were the owners of this
beautiful great dane but that's ok, he was Kymm's dog and he meant
the most to her.
Keith and Mary Ann were also members of the Heart of Minnesota Great
Dane Club many years ago. The picture was taken at the Thunder Bay
Kennel Club's 24th annual All Breeds Championship Shows at the
Canadian Lakehead Exhibition. We won't mention the year since that
would be giving out a little too much information. It was published
in the Port Arthur, Ontario, Canada newspaper, The
News-Chronicle. He took 3 Best of Breeds, a Group 2 and a Group
3 that weekend.
Now, a little later in Kymm's life, she has a new great dane. His
name is Markus,
Divine Acres Worth The Wait v Kemac. He is out of CH Divine
Acres Ultimate Girl CGC X CH Meadowoods I'm Stormin Norman
from Carolyn McNamara.
Below is a picture of him when he was just a little puppy. He is
such a good boy laying beside mommy's desk.
Puppy antics at 10 months of
age!
Kymm had placed Markus' bed up on the dining room table so she could
cut fabric to make a new cover for it. Markus saw his bed, and in a
single leap he jumped up on the table and laid down. Jeff and Kymm
just about bust a gut laughing! It took some convincing to get him
to jump back down - he was perfectly comfortable right where he was!
Now on to my show career
June 2003 - Waconia Show
At 6 months and one day this was Markus' first show. He won his
class as well as Best Dane Puppy in Show. Kymm was busting with
joy!
This win was made even sweeter because this was the first time in
over 20 years Kymm was in the ring showing my her Dane...

age - What a handsome boy!
July 2003 - Duluth K.C. Show
Winner's Dog for a 3 point major under Mrs. Irene Biven! Winning
with Kymm's mom, dad and husband Jeff watching ring-side made for
LOTS of tears and huge smiles after this win! Just thinking of this
day still brings great joy and a very sweet smiles!
